Join us for the first Xtra Mile 11K run, September 12, 2009. The race has something for everyone, featuring an 11K run for the elite runner, a 5K run/walk course for those interested in a less competitive format as well as a half mile children’s walk. All participants will receive an event shirt and/or hat, prize bags and the knowledge that you have helped a child and family in need.

5K/10K - The 5K and 11K courses feature a 12 foot wide paved path with beautiful scenery including spectacular views of Mt Hood and Mt St Helens.  You can run or walk the 5K (3.1 miles) course which begins and ends at Frenchmen’s Bar. The 11K (6.8 miles) is more challenging and includes a 1.5 mile section along Vancouver Lake.

The top 3 female and male finishers of the 11K will receive great prizes, as well as the top male and female finisher under 17 years old. As we approach the date of the run prizes, shirt design, and participation awards will be shown here so check back often.

Half Mile children’s event - The half mile children’s event starts and ends at Frenchmen’s bar. The pathway is paved, monitored by event staff for security and will have special competitions throughout the course. The competitions include balance, strength and fun. This event is free for those participants 10 years and under, any child may participate with a signed waiver and all participants will receive a prize. Please note on your registration if you will have a child entering this event.
Should you choose to register on the event day, registration on race day begins at 6:30 a.m. and wraps up at 7:30 a.m.

Start times:
5K – 8 a.m.
11K – 8:30 a.m.
Half Mile Children's Event – 8:30 a.m.
Awards Ceremony – 10 a.m. (approximately)

Locations: Start line for the half mile, 5K and 10K race is at Frenchman's Bar Regional Park located at 9612 NW Lower River Road Vancouver, WA 98660 (South end of the park)

Driving Directions:
– I-5 to Exit C1-1D
– W on Fourth Plain Blvd turns into Lower River Road
– Follow signs to park

Special Instructions:
Clark County Park and Rec. has a $2.00 parking charge to park inside the park grounds.

85% of race course is in direct sunlight. No skates, scooters or bikes during event.

Packet pick up:
Packet pick up will be held on 9/9/09 – 9/11/09. Locations to be determined as we get closer to race day.

Entry Fees:
Entry fee for adults is $30 until 9/9/2009 and $35 on race day.

Entry fee for kids 12 & under is $15 until 9/9/2009 and $20 on race day.
